For the Love of Land and Animal

Pastura Farm was born in the summer of 2022, ignited by a deep longing to connect with our food, the place we call home, and an undying love of sheep. Farmer, and head shepherdess, Lexi Kuznar came home to Michigan after a short time in Vermont with the conviction to start her own grass-fed sheep flock. With the support and encouragement of her partner, Garryn Johnson, the two of them have taken their collective experience farming and their love for the land on which we stand, and have created a robust mixed flock of Finnsheep, Jacobs’ sheep, and Dorset cross ewes that are rotationally grazed on their 26-acre farm in Benzonia, MI. The mission is simple: raise healthy animals that nourish our bodies while also nourishing the soil.
