Each one as unique as the animal that it came from, our hides come in a variety of colors and are as soft as clouds. We send them in to Driftless Tannery, a women-owned natural tannery in the Driftless region of Wisconsin to be tanned. These luxurious skins are an absolute treat to have in the home as a seat cushion, rug, art piece, and are safe enough for sleeping babies.
We receive the skins from the processor in October, November, and December. We flesh and salt them ourselves, then send them off to the tannery, hoping to receive them as early as December and January.
The photos shown are of last years’ hides. This is a pre-sale purchase. You will be able to pick out your specific hide once they come back from the tannery.
NOTE: Shipping out of state IS available, but orders will not be fulfilled until the hides come from the tannery. Even if you need your order shipped, please choose the “Farm Pick Up” option, and we will sort out the shipping at a later date. Thank you!
